Bladwijzer uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We only set Google Analytics cookies if you allow it.
What is stored on your device is needed to make the site work:
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
bw_sid (cookie) | Keeping you logged in. Only for Bladwijzer itself, unreadable by scripts. | 60 days, or until you log out |
bw_oauth (cookie) | When logging in with Google or Apple: checking that the service’s response belongs to your attempt. | 10 minutes |
bw-klembord (session storage) | A plant you copy, so you can paste it elsewhere in your garden. | Until you close the tab |
| Offline storage (service worker) | The app, the identification keys and species photos, so they also work without internet. | Until a new version of the app |
bw-cookies-analytics (local storage) | Your choice about Google Analytics, so we don’t ask every time. | Until you change it |
_ga, _ga_… (Google cookie) | Google Analytics: counting visits and recognising returning visitors. Only if you allow it. | 2 years, or until you withdraw consent |
Maps, aerial photos and species photos come from OpenStreetMap, Digitaal Vlaanderen, Wallonia, PDOK and Wikimedia Commons. They do not place cookies through Bladwijzer. If you give via Buy Me a Coffee or PayPal, you go to their site and their rules apply.
You can always clear cookies and stored data in your browser; you will then be logged out. You can read more about your data in the privacy policy.
