Rosewater for the skin
- Makes: ± 250 ml
- Time: 30 min
- From: Damask rose
Ingredients
- 2 handfuls of rose petals
- 300 ml distilled water
Method
- Put the petals in a pan and pour over just enough distilled water to cover them.
- Heat over a very low heat with the lid on, without boiling, for 20 minutes until the petals have lost their colour.
- Leave to cool and strain through a cloth.
- Pour the rosewater into a clean small bottle or spray.
Storing: A week at most in the fridge. Use it as a refreshing facial toner; test it first on a small patch of skin.
