Stevia: when to prune it?

What else to prune in those months? April · June · July · October
Stevia: how to prune it?
- In April, cut the overwintered plant back to 10–15 cm above the ground, just above healthy buds.
- In June–July, pinch out the tips of the shoots regularly, for a dense, bushy plant.
- In October, before bringing it indoors, cut all the shoots back to about 10 cm and harvest the leaves.
- Remove dead or weak stems right at the base.
How much to cut, and how often?
- There are 3 pruning periods a year: April, June–July and October. You don’t have to prune in every one.
What does it mean for wildlife?
- Don’t cut more than you need to: what stays standing gives insects and birds food and shelter.
