Lavandin bath salts

  • Makes: 1 jar of 250 g
  • Time: 10 min + 1 week infusing
  • From: Lavandin

Ingredients

  • 250 g coarse sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons dried lavandin flowers
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose petals (optional)

Method

  1. Mix the salt with the lavandin, and the rose petals if using, in a clean, dry jar.
  2. Close the jar and leave for a week, shaking now and then, so the salt takes on the scent.
  3. For a bath, put 2 to 3 tablespoons in a small cotton bag or a tea filter and hang it under the tap while the bath fills: that way the flowers do not block the plughole.

Storing: Dry and tightly closed: six months. Keep the jar out of the bathroom, as damp makes the salt clump.
