Walnut-leaf hair rinse

  • Makes: 1 rinse
  • Time: 30 min
  • From: Walnut

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls fresh walnut leaves (or 4 tablespoons dried)
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

Method

  1. Tear the leaves into pieces and bring them to the boil with the water.
  2. Simmer gently for 15 minutes, then leave to cool, covered.
  3. Strain and add the vinegar.
  4. After washing, pour the lukewarm rinse over your hair, massage it in and do not rinse out. Do this in the shower or over the bath: the liquid stains towels and grout.

Storing: Use the rinse the same day, or keep it in the fridge for no more than 3 days.
