Which fruit tree is it?
No fruit? Look at the underside of the leaf and the length of the leaf stalk.
- Leaf with a felted underside; pink buds; apples: Oval leaf with rounded teeth on a short stalk. Also ornamental crab apples with small fruits.
- Glossy, roundish leaf on a long stalk; pears: White blossom, earlier than apple; bark in small blocks.
- Dull leaf with rounded teeth; plums with a flat stone: White blossom in small clusters; dark, cracked bark.
