Borage flower ice cubes
- Makes: ± 24 ice cubes
- Time: 10 min + 4 hrs freezing
- From: Borage
Ingredients
- 24 borage flowers
- ± 500 ml water, preferably boiled and cooled (it gives clearer ice)
Method
- Pick the flowers just before use and pull them out of the calyx.
- Fill the compartments of an ice-cube tray a third full with water, put a flower in each and freeze for an hour.
- Then top up the compartments and freeze for another 3 hours, so the flowers stay in the middle.
- Use them in lemonade, sparkling water with lemon or a summer punch.
