Tea · From Bladwijzer
Dried rose hip tea
- Makes: ± 1 litre (4 cups)
- Time: 5 min + 15 min steeping
- From: Field-rose
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp dried rose hips (whole or halved)
- 1 litre water
- 1 small strip of unwaxed lemon peel
- honey to taste
Method
- Lightly crush the dried hips in a mortar so that they break open.
- Bring them to the boil with the water and lemon peel and leave to steep gently for 15 minutes with the lid on.
- Pour the tea through a fine cloth or coffee filter so that all the hairs and seeds stay behind.
- Sweeten to taste with a little honey.
Storing: Drink the tea warm or keep it for a day in the fridge. Dried hips keep for a year in a closed jar.
