Tea · From Bladwijzer
Pine-needle tea
- Makes: 2 cups
- Time: 15 min
- From: Scots pine
Ingredients
- 1 handful young pine needles (± 2 tablespoons chopped)
- 500 ml water
- a little honey, if you like
Method
- Rinse the needles, remove the brown sheaths and snip the needles into 1 cm pieces.
- Bring the water to the boil and let it cool for a minute.
- Pour it over the needles and leave to steep, covered, for 10 minutes. Do not boil, or the tea turns bitter.
- Strain and sweeten with a little honey to taste.
Storing: Drink the tea fresh.
