Small dried bouquet of curry plant
- Makes: 1 small bouquet
- Time: 15 min + 2 to 3 weeks drying
- From: Curry plant
Ingredients
- 15 to 20 flowering stems of curry plant, with the flowers just open
- rubber bands and string
- a few other dried flowers of your choice (lavender, ornamental grasses)
Method
- Cut the stems on a dry day, as long as possible, when the first flowers have just opened.
- Strip the lower leaves and bundle the stems in fives with a rubber band: it stays tight as they shrink.
- Hang the bunches upside down somewhere dark, dry and airy for 2 to 3 weeks, until the stems are hard.
- Arrange them with the other dried flowers into a small bouquet and tie it with string.
Storing: Keep the bouquet out of full sun or the flowers will fade. It stays pretty for a year and smells faintly of curry.
