Cherry-blossom tea (sakurayu)

Ingredients

  • 1–2 salted cherry blossoms
  • 200 ml hot water

Method

  1. Rinse the blossom briefly to remove most of the salt.
  2. Put it in a cup and pour over the hot water.
  3. Leave it a moment: the flower opens in the water. Drink the tea as it is, slightly salty and floral.

Storing: Drink the tea fresh.
