Tea blend with vervain, lemon verbena and mint

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons dried vervain
  • 3 tablespoons dried lemon verbena
  • 2 tablespoons dried mint

Method

  1. Crumble the dried herbs roughly between your fingers and pick out any tough stalks.
  2. Mix them in a bowl and put them in a tightly closed jar. Write the name and date on the label.
  3. Use 1 teaspoon of the blend per cup, pour over 250 ml of water just off the boil and leave to steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain and drink warm: the lemon verbena and mint soften the bitterness of the vervain.

Storing: Keeps for a year in a closed jar, dry and dark. Drink no more than two cups a day.
