Prague viburnum (Viburnum × pragense): how to prune it?

1. Shorten branches that are too long or stick out back to a side shoot or a bud to keep the shape.
2. Remove dead, damaged or crossing branches completely.
3. Clip a hedge once a year after flowering.
4. To renew an oversized shrub, cut a few old branches back to near ground level in spring.

• Prune in moderation: never remove more than about a third of the shrub at once.
