Tea · From Bladwijzer
Fresh lime blossom tea
- Makes: 1 pot (1 litre)
- Time: 15 min
- From: Common lime
Ingredients
- 30 g fresh lime blossom (or 10 g dried)
- 1 litre hot water (± 95 °C)
- honey to taste
- 1 slice of lemon (optional)
Method
- Shake the blossom and remove leaves and brown flowers.
- Put the blossom in a teapot or jug.
- Pour the hot water over and cover, so the aromas do not escape.
- Leave to steep for 8–10 minutes; longer makes the tea bitter.
- Strain the tea and sweeten to taste with honey. Drink warm, with a slice of lemon if you like.
Storing: Drink the tea warm; leftovers keep 1 day in the fridge.
