Tea · From Bladwijzer
Rose hip tea
- Makes: 1 teapot (± 4 cups)
- Time: 5 min + 10 min simmering
- From: Dog rose
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp dried, deseeded rose hips (or 8 fresh, halved and deseeded)
- 1 litre water
- optionally honey
Method
- Lightly crush the dried hips in a mortar.
- Bring them to the boil with the water and let them steep for 10 minutes over a low heat.
- Pour the tea through a fine cloth or coffee filter so that all the hairs stay behind.
- Sweeten to taste with a little honey.
Storing: Drink the tea fresh, or keep it for a day in the fridge. Dried hips keep for a year.
