Home-grown peppermint tea
- Makes: 1 cup
- Time: 5 min + drying
- From: Peppermint
Ingredients
- 1 heaped teaspoon dried peppermint leaves (or a fresh sprig)
- 250 ml water
Method
- Bring the water to the boil and let it cool for half a minute.
- Put the mint in a tea infuser or straight into the cup and pour over the water.
- Cover and steep for 5 to 8 minutes so the menthol does not evaporate.
- Strain and drink plain or with a slice of lemon.
Storing: Drink it fresh. The dried leaves keep for a year in a closed jar.
